As a founding foot in the Campaign Against Living Miserably and current Chairman of this growing mental health campaign to reduce male suicide, it seemed appropriate to celebrate the first birthday of one such campaign: Torch Songs.
The initial ask was for bands to re-record the song that they go to in moments of darkness. Plus star in some strikingly candid portraiture shot by award-winning rock photographer Andy Earl.
So, one year later, we invited 9 acts to come and play some songs on a cold bright day. These included Gengahr, Lewis Watson & Isaac Gracie. We also asked all the shopkeepers in Newburgh Street to showcase the portraits of the original contributing artists like Years & Years, Frank Turner & The Vaccines among others.
We sold a limited edition glow in the dark tee.
